Well I am having a crapola day! This is an email I sent to a friend a little bit ago. Needing a little bit of a boost if you will! LOL

Man what a day….woke up late like uh 7:30 and I normally leave at 7:45 Argh!! So had to take boys in to school…go tan then go home shower, etc and head to work….So I get out to the vehicle to go to work..and I have a FLAT TIRE! So I air it up thinking it is just low…noticed it had been lacking a bit anyhow.

Good right! NOT now I am on my way to work and I notice it is going low again. So pull in to gas station on outskirt of town. Make it 3blocks and guess what. Flippen flat again! By this time I was just beside myself! LOL.

So make it to the repair shop. They can fix it, YES! But I can’t get to work without a vehicle. So the owner says he’ll give me ride. I say thanks but it’s a beautiful day and I could use the fresh air to clear my thoughts. He smiles and says I understand.

So off I go walking to work…..2blocks away I see a “loose” dog! I think oh frick I am gonna get eaten alive! Thank goodness it didn’t see me and went on its way all the while my heart is a pounding, lol! Surprised it didn’t hear my heart it was so loud, hehehe!

OK so I continue on my walk to work when I just about got HIT by a passer by’er who was NO DOUBT watching my a@$! MEN! Oy Vey!! LOL….yes it was a younger man in a big truck. Sheesh!

Finally make it to work ALIVE! Which is a miracle in itself. So I get in to my door and sit at my desk, listen to my voice mail…OMG and there is like 10+ voice mail. Another strike against me….should go on a home visit due to one of the voicemails…but NO VEHICLE! Uhhhh!

Then I cannot get my computer to work, lol! So I finally get it after 30 minutes of screwing around with it..don’t know how I fixed it but it worked. Had some issues with the fax machine…..and finally cancelled my fax because it wouldn’t go through.

By this time I figure I need a break, lol! So I decided it was LUNCH time. Sure if I had money! OMG remember I don’t have my vehicle…it is in the shop. Well my money and cards, etc are in the vehicle. So I scrounge my desk drawers for some change….and came up with $2.23. So off to the cafeteria. And of course all the good stuff is more than what I have, lol. So I settle for a “processed” ham patty on a bun, can I just say Eeeeewwwwwwwwwwwww!!!! Really it isn’t good! So I could only afford a ham patty on bun, and a cola. Well guess what? I spilled my freakin cola on my freakin WHITE pants! OMG can I scream yet?!?!?! And all this is before 11:30!

So of course I cannot go home to change without a vehicle…and work with a bunch of teeny boppers who are of course fashionistic and socially unforgiving of such a thing. So I may have to hide out in my office sitting behind my desk for the entire day, lol!

And HEY..what else can go wrong?! PLEASE tell me nothing? Cause at this point I am thinking it is now only 12 and I have 3 hrs to go and that is just as much time as it took for all of the above mentioned things to happen!

OK sorry this is such a LONG email! But having a bad day I guess and had to get it off my big ol’ chest!

I hope you are having a better day than I am!!!!!!!

Anyone else have days like this?! LOL

OK ladies we are going to be holding a DT contest at www.thescrapbookstand.com for 5 new DT'ers. The details will be up tomorrow some time on the site. We are very excited and cannot wait to see the submissions. I am sure you will all make it very tough to decide.

Don't forget that we are also holding a cyber crop on the 22nd of April and the 23rd of April. We have lots of prizes and challenges in store. I hope to have some photos of some of the prizes up in the next week.

Also Leslie Ayers, Editor in Chief of Scrapbook Answers Magazine will be chatting live with us on Thursday April 27 at 6pm California time. This should be an amazing chat. Leslie is as much of a beautiful person inside as she is outside! Mark your calendar and stop in for the chat!

OK I am feeling so good about things lately! I started to work out again. I have been toooo flippen lazy FAR toooooo long!!!! So along with a few friends we are beginning work outs. Lots of cardio and then weight training for body definition. But of course I can never just go easy on it,lol!

I push my self to work out to much and then my knee acts up and then I am down and out of the workouts. I know I will never be normal again. But I would love to be able to run again! I so miss it! After 3 specialists telling me there is nothing they can do. Honestly it has been devastating on me. It has been almost 3 years since my accident. It has been hell! I weigh more than I have in my entire life time!!!

I used to work out 1-3hrs a day. And girlllll let me tell you I felt GOOOOOD! I am so lucky that one of my dear friends is a trainer. She is setting up some excersises for me to do and try to get the knee working a little bit so I can at least do stairs and simple things without feeling like a knife is in there. So we will see?! I started walking for some cardio...lol. And well it bothers the knee. So dont do as much. But walked tonight..only a mile and a half in your eyes but 10 miles in mine!!

Also got the boys into the mood to work out! So that will be fun to work out with them in the evenings a few nights a week! Love to spend time with my boys...and what a great way to do that! Keep eachother healthy and look good to. Plus summer is coming and we are major outdoors people. We live on a lake and have a cabin on a lake. So we are always in the water it seems....so they can get in shape for the summer of swimming, skiing, tubing, boating and jet skiing, biking, rollerblading, to name a few!

Such a summer person it is amazing I do not live in CA or FL or better yet Hawaii!

Work...work... work, Oy Vey! I'm into Court reports up to my eyeballs it seems. Doesn't leave much time to visit with my clients. And I hate that. I will handle the kids in crisis asap. But the others have to wait. I hate not having enough time to do all the work I must do...and unfortunately with the state making cuts I know I cannot hire someone to assist me. That sucks! But I will handle it.
MY weekend goals. Get my weekend goals by Sunday night I want to have 2LO's, 1card and 1tag done. I have 11 rolodex cards to finish though...and then have to get them packaged and in the mail for a swap I am in. Fun. Fun.
I have to also get 2 LO's done with the All About Me personal challenge I am holding on The Scrapbook Stand. Based on the {self centered} book by Pamela Lambi and Jennifer Lynn Moody. On Mondays I post. This Monday I will post the week #3 topic. I know we could do more than one LO a week. But I also know that there are others out there that work outside of the home (like me) and don't have much time to scrap. So should be a few month process to finish the album. But will be SO worth it in the end!
We are going to be holding a Design Team contest for www.thescrapbookstand.com and are just ironing out the details before we post. So if you are reading this. You are the first to know of it!! And may have a personal advantage ahead of the other scrappers out there! We will have a gallery set up for the contest. And everyone must upload LO's to it in order to be considered. We will prolly be chosing 5 new DT'ers. And have them start with the May Kit.
We hope to have the new April Kit and add on items soon! We had hoped the webmaster would have had them up 2wks ago. But did not foresee certain bumps. They are worked out now I think. And should be good to go soon :) Finally!!!
Well I am going out this evening with a friend. It will feel good to get away from the stress of work, scrappin, fighting kids, blah, blah, blah! Nice! We will go out to eat at the Goose Crossing in Park Rapids....Mmmmm love me some Outdoor Rotiseri Prime Rib...and the Rice Pilaf and bernat sauce Mmmmm good! Love it! Will go well with some drinks and freshly steamed veggies! LOVE it! Then we'll go to Zorbaz. Very neat place. My sisters friend owns it. I worked there years ago when it was called Chateau Paulette. Robb is a good {hot} looking single young man if any of you ladies are ever in the area;) He celebrated his 1yr anniversary in business on Saturday night. We won't go for that but will get to see some of the neat festivities that will take place. The dance floor is built up and was filled about a foot deep with beach sand. The life guard stands, etc all beach related of course to fit the theme of all the Zorbaz. Which are all on beaches. As is this one but Robb decided to bring the beach inside! He has a bikini contest on Saturday and tons more. Hmmm the bikini contest could be scarry, lol! I heard rumors of one gal who entered who really shouldn't have. I guess if you don't look good in it, don't wear it I say! Takes one {sexy} body to look good in a bikini.
What else will I do this weekend? Hmmm OH I will be going to a celebration for Bryan Dyrdahl at his Mothers home. What a great family! His Mother has attended every race he has been in. Bryan won his 3rd I-500 race. Bryan has been racing since he was a little boy. He is an amazing racer! Bryan had NO idea this celebration was taking place...it was a total surprise to him! TONS of people showed up for it. He took 1st place in points this season. My husband was in 2nd place for a long time...then well if you read my blog you would have read about him hitting another racer broad side going 100+mph in the I-500. He overcame that but ran into engine problems later and then lost points. Bummer! Bryan sits at the top again! So happy for him. Jon has been friends with him for some time now and he to is VERY happy for his wins! Bryan took home a $10,000 purse for the I-500. Nice huh! LO: but OMG the terrain you race in,OMG not this chick! LOL!!
OK well I have to get finished with work I only have a few hours to go. Ciao BeBe!

Monday, March 27, 2006

It seems like it has been forever since I have written anything in my journal! Time is just not my friend lately that is for sure!
Work has been so busy. This is the busiest time of year. And most days it seems I can barely remember my own name!
The website isn't ready to go and that is very frustrating! We wish we could do so much of the work ourselves but that isn't possible. And maybe that can change in time?
Scrapbook Answers Magazine....well what can I say I LOVE IT!! I am greatly honored to work with such amazing ladies. I am part of a flower feature coming up in the next months issue. That should be available April 25 on newstands across the US...some over seas but not sure how much?
Maybe Ana can help out on that one? Are you there girl?! Give a shout out...and I do hope you are feeling well. I haven't heard back from you in a while...wazzzzz up chicky?! Miss ya :) I know you to are swamped! And I hope you have had some time to get back to your healthy self.
My oldest is home today ill. Poor thing. Came upstairs this am as I am ready to walk out the door and says "I just threw up, Mom".....Uh, Eeewwwwww! I am so glad that he is a teen and can take care of himself when he is sick like that! LOL I am not good at handling that type of stuff! There is a reason I am NOT a nurse or doctor!!!! Either way. I am at home today working on court reports for next week.
I cannot wait for summer time! It is not certain what I will be doing? I haven't fully decided? My cousin has a little restraunt in Dorset. La Pasta....she makes some out of this world manicotti, chicken fettucini, chicken genovese! Oh and the jambalaya (sp)! I may work for her a few days a week again this summer. I did last year and what a blast! But of course I have to MAKE time to enjoy and relax in the summer! Thats one great thing about living on a lake that I love....I don't have to travel to enjoy it!
Its great having summers off! What a perfect time to rejuvenate the soul after a LONG hard winter in my job I need it!
Work has been so stressful lately I am to the point that I have been thinking of resigning?! But I won't. Its funny how everytime I feel like throwing in the towel with this job I have some former or current client come to me and thank me for helping them, or caring for them and that I am the only one they feel has ever cared for them and truly wanted to help them. A small bit of thanks for caring about me.....gets me along in my job in a BIG way! Keeps me plugging away. Thinking THAT is why I keep on going, no matter the emotional stress it puts on me. Its worth it! Even if its just one persons life that I help change for the better out of 50. I will do it! I will be there for them! I will be there for you!
I will post later a story about my non-winning CBX MIM album. See how you could save a life by reading it. I hope it has a HUGE impact on your life as it has had a life changing impact on mine.
Gotta get back to work for now........

The announcement has been made!
And the buzz is starting to be heard ! And the excitement has begun.......

My sister Missy and I will be taking over ownership of The Scrapook Stand in March. Our first kit will be April!!! We are super duper excited!! And cannot wait. We have many great plans in store for TSS. We hope to take TSS to the next level.

I have been with TSS since the beginning. And am the last remaining "original" DT member. So in a way it feels like my baby too. Although it will be hard to not have Shirley as the Editor in Chief any more. I am at ease that she will still be around TSS. This business was her baby! And we are excited to watch it grow into something bigger. And make her proud :)

There is alot of support from the current members. And we thank you all for the HUGE show of support and faith in us! We will NOT let you down!!!! We may make you happier but not let you down :)

If you have any ideas and or suggestions on the sites improvements, or what you feel would be an improvement let me know! And they will be taken into consideration.

We look forward to our new venture and hope that you do too! See you on the boards :)

This pics above are Missys car (sister). Her DH hit a semi on friday morning. The roads will pretty bad here. It had snowed for about 2days and we had about 5" of new snow. With icy roads. He is ok, sort of. He has some head trauma. And has thought it was feb 2005. He doesn't remember anything that day. And is slowly remembering little things. He doesn't realize he has been layed off from work for 3wks. Things like that.

He is home. And its a little scary. You can have a conversation with him and by the time your at the end of the conversation he doesn't remember the beginning. And you repeat things to him like 30x and still doesn't get it?! The DR says its ok. OMG well its scary!!!!!

DS hasn't slept. In fear he will get up find the keys and take off. And not know where or what he is doing? Or that he could get up and walk around the house. Black out and hit his head again and well be worse in many ways. So if there are any Dr or nurses out there that can shout out that this IS normal? LMK!!

My DH called friday night to tell me that he had an accident on THURSDAY night...ya the day B4!!!!! Sheesh! I said well beings your ok would I have expected a call a week later if you would have friggin died?! Somedays chickies, somedays! Anyhow he hit another racer going over 100mph during a race. The other racer took a turn too hard. Went up and over and inot my DH race course path. And the guy just sat there dumbfounded. Didn't move and looked at DH and sat. Jon couldn't do anything but hit the guy broadside...omg I am imagining MANY other things much worse that could have been. They are lucky to be alive. And they are both walking. OMG miracles do happen in this situation and BIL.
So for me staying home for the weekend was a perfect stress reducer,LOL! DH stayed in TFR to help his buddies in the pit area with their sleds.
Kids have been snowmobiling since friday night seems like. Till 11:30 friday night. All day yesterday until last night when they all (2DS + buddy) and say something is wrong with the sleds? They were sure it was something serious with the motors!!! I said did they run out of gas? NO the say. We put gas in them earlier. I said but they could still be run out of gas are you SURE!!! Yes they say. LOL.
Well my DS and her DS came over lastnight. He went to check out the sleds with the boys around 9pm (pitch dark out). LOL they came back in about a20 min later. Nephew said the sleds were down the driveway. One at the end and the other about half way. OUT OF GAS!!!!!! ROFLOL!!!! My silly boys.
The boys said the first snowmobile quit at the end of the driveway (14.5 acres to the end of the driveway). So they tried to pile 3 kids on the other one,LOL. Well didn't work too well and one constantly kept falling off the back. So it was a constant stop and go. Then when they finally got halfway back to the house. That one quit. And after "working" on it for quite some time they decided to come in and warm up.

OK so all in all........I am so friggin glad that it is the weekend!!! OMG does it ever slow down? Prolly when I am like 80 yrs old, sheesh. At this rate I don't think I will make it that long,LOL!

OK gals off to check out 2ps and the scrapbook stand :) Have a great day!!!

My name is Sarah
I am but three
My eyes are swollen
I cannot see
I must be stupid
I must be bad
What else could have made
My daddy so mad?
I wish I were better
I wish I weren't ugly
Then maybe my Mommy
Would still want to hug me.
I can't speak at all,
I can't do a wrong
Or else I'm locked up
All day long.
When I awake I'm all alone
The house is dark
My folks aren't home.
When my Mommy does come
I'll try and be nice
So maybe I'll get just
One whipping tonight.
Don't make a sound!
I just heard a car
My daddy is back
From Charlie's Bar.
I hear him curse
My name he calls
I press myself
Against the wall.
I try and hide
From his evil eyes
I'm so afraid now
I'm starting to cry.
He finds me weeping
He shouts ugly words,
He says its my fault
That he suffers at work.
He slaps me and hits me
And yells at me more,
I finally get free
And I run for the door.
He's already locked it
And I start to bawl,
He takes me and throws me
Against the hard wall.
I fall to the floor
With my bones nearly broken,
And my daddy continues
With more bad words spoken.
"I'm sorry", I scream
But its now much too late
His face has been twisted
Into unimaginable hate.
The hurt and pain
Again and again
Oh please God, have mercy!
Oh please let it end!
And he finally stops
And heads for the door,
While I lay there motionless
Sprawled on the floor.
My name is Sarah
And I am but three
Tonight my daddy
Murdered me.

There are thousands of kids out there just like Sarah. And you can help. It sickens me to my soul, and if you just read this and don't pass it on I pray for your forgiveness, because you would have to be one heartless person to not be affected by this email. And because you are affected,do something about it!! So all I am asking you to do is take some time to send this on and acknowledge that this stuff does happen, and that people like her dad do live in our society, and pray for child abuse to wither out and die, but also pray for the safety of our youth. Please pass this poem on as a Blue Ribbon Against Child Abuse because as crazy as it might sound, it might just indirectly change a life. Hey, you NEVER know. **Please help end the violence help AGAINST CHILD ABUSE *

MS Cabrera tagged me as well as the entire SBA DT....gotta love ya gal!

1. First time you got kissed: ROFLOL....it was the summer of 6th grade. My first kiss was with Scott Ball. OMG he was sooooo dreamy! LOL! We were boyfriend and girlfriend you know the silly age! It was not a kiss that was slightly gross and little bit of...."OMG is this really what a french kiss is?" and I thought EWWWWWWW!!!!! LOL. To say the least he needed to REALLY practice,ROFLMAO!!!!!!!! Although I was so infatuated with him I thought maybe if we kiss more it would help him, hehehheeh! Uh, no go! Didn't get all that better! Oh well....he has had many years to practice now...hmmm wonder, nah just kidding, hehe!

2. First time you drove a car: Another funny one! Chad Norenburg was teaching me how to drive a stick shift. I was 15. I was driving down a straight stretch and knew that there was a SHARP corner coming up. I asked him how slow should I slow down? He said nahhh you don't have to slow down! I said yes I need to! But I didn't know how to slow down with a stick shift!!! Needless to say that when I rounded the corner...I skid into a snow pile that was about 10ft high....and up the pile,LOL!! We spent the next hour or more trying to get it unstuck! We went to a nearby house that had a light on. No one was home so we "borrowed" their shovel..yes we took it back when we got out!! LOL but that was my first time driving...and how great to get stuck with a little hottie like Chad was!

3. First time you scrapbooked: Hmmm was about 6 years ago or so. My sister was invited to a Creative Memories party. She was told to bring a friend and get a free gift. So she brought me. We scrapped at the party I think like 2 pages. BUT I knew immediately that the CM style was SOOOO not me! I also knew that I would be scrapping more...just alot more creative! And that day was the beginning of my addiction! LOL!

4. First time you went on a date: OMG I don't even know! How sad! LOL. My older sister and I were not really allowed to go out per say! We could go out 1x a month and most of the time that 1x was cancelled and we would have to stay home and watch the younger sisters and brother. So I guess I would prolly have to say maybe 10th grade?

5. First time you fell in love: Well I was prolly in the 9th grade. I dated Bruce Weaver. We dated for like hmmm 4 almost 5 years. He was my love! He had proposed a few times. But for HUGE reasons I ended the relationship...and haven't looked back since! Although we did introduce his brother to my sister and well lets just say that they are still together and have 3 kids! At least someone lived happily ever after!

6. First time you cooked for someone: Wow that is a tough one! I grew up in the restraunt business so I have cooked for as long as I can remember! So I don't have an exact date?

7. First time you got on a plane: You will laugh at this! Umm like 2 years ago! LOL! Yes you read that right 2 yrs ago! Vegas bound I was!

8. First time you shaved your legs: OMG Hmmm prolly in the 7th grade? Good question!

9. First time you put on make up: I think I was in the 5th or 6th grade when I started to wear make up. Back in the day when we were to stupid to know that if we shared make up...such as eyeliner ummmm well we would spread pink eye like wild fire,LOL!!!

10. First time you moved out of your home: I was 18...the day of actually! I moved in with my sister and her husband. I basically slept there and nothing else...well except to house my personal belongings,LOL! I was running my parents ice cream parlor and a restraunt in another town about 20 min away from their main restraunt. I did that for the summer and then moved down to New Hope, MN.

I will tag.................Hmmmmmm...................lets see?!
I will tag Jlyne H http://msretro.typepad.com/cornerofinsanity/
Also tagging Marie C http://justmariec.typepad.com/my_everyday_thoughts/
And Jen W http://justbeachy.typepad.com/my_weblog/

Later!

SCRAPBOOK ANSWERS

I got the call! Woohoo! So excited to get started with them! What is even more shocking is that not only I made the DT but Ruth and Amy did too!!! OMG how cool is it that 3 of the www.thescrapbookstand.com DT girls made it!!!

I want to thank all of you at SBA for this great opportunity. I will not let you down. But I will exceed your expectations of me! That I am sure of...you see I have a dream of becoming the next Becky Higgins, Ali Edwards, Faye Morrow Belle...you know all those {hot} gals! And well lets just say that this chick will be there. Just you wait and see!!

I cannot hardly stand the wait to see what our first assignments will be. And to hear all the little details about the DT.

Ladies this calls for a round of chocolates,LOL!!!! Ya I know one of my NY resolutions was to not eat so much chocolate, BUTTTTTTTT this has just got to be one exception! LOL! OK so who all is in on this round,LOL?! Seriously!

OK well it is like 1:40am and I am doing the head bobbing thing I am so tired...but my girls....Missy, Shirley, and Traci have kept me up toooo long chatting IM for the evening. Fun stuff! So fetch, lol!

OK well you all I have got to get to bed! Thank goodness I don't have court tomorrow...and don't have to sit in a chair all day! I am afraid I would fall asleep during the Judges speeches, lol! Not good! So at least I know I will be in the field and on the go!! So no time to be Mrs Bobblehead,LOL!

This is a wonderful way to end the day. Thanks goes out to the SBA team of which I know will be checking this out soon...so kudos to you all! You all had a tough job making the final decisions. You are all so awesome. The professionalism is amazing, the personal touches outstanding, end result an extremely well rounded magazine that is going to be bigger than CK one day! I just know it!

Morning Monday Bloggers!

Its work day AGAIN! I wish I could quit and scrap for my job...and at least make the same amount or more!! Anyone have any ideas,LOL!
Well I had 2 crops this weekend. One Friday eve till midnight. All day one for Saturday. I love cropping with my friends!!! They always laugh at me because I don't get very much done. But bring a crap load of stuff,LOL!
I always have intentions of getting tons of pages done...but I always hear "Rori, can you help with..." " Rori how do you do...." you know all that stuff. And of course I love to talk to everyone! Honestly it is the only time I can really TALK with some of my friends. We all have busy careers, family, housework...etc..you get the idea! So when I only get a page or two done I do not worry about it!!
My one friend why don't you worry about getting nothing done..thats why we crop isn't it to get some pages done?! I said thats how it started for me. But I scrap EVERYDAY! She was shocked. I said so if I miss one day a month that I don't get a page done...NO biggy.
BUT I got 5 pages done on Saturday and had LOTS of chatting,LOL!! And even came home 3 times because I wasn't feeling well at all! OMG pukeys and scrappin don't mix well!!!! I would read some journaling and feel sick again, lol.
Yesterday I did alot of doodling. I read up on the net on how to make your own fonts...well unless you pay gringo you can't do it...so if you all have a free upload link to a program please LMK!!! I made several new "possible" fonts and some webdings/dingbats what ever they are called?! LOL!! No idea really!
OK well gotta get my butt working!

So my Son had a band concert last night. It was nice, enjoyable and yet funny. The concert was performed by the 6,7 & 8th grades. They all took turns. Then the end performance was the 7th & 8th graders. Of which did very well. Just a few tweeks here and there,LOL.
The 6th graders were oh so cute. They all try very hard. I had to giggle every now and then as you would hear a toot or tweek here and there.
And it was nice to see how my Son has progressed from a year ago. It was also interesting to see how the amount of kids fluctuates with age. The 6th graders had about 50 kids. The 7th was about 30. And the 8th prolly 25. About half of the 6th graders. Imagine how many parents out there are upset because their lil susie beesy quit band and they had to pay out $1500.00 for an instrument!
I really had to laugh when I saw 3 young girls standing off to the side seating area. They are whispering and giggling. I look at the band and see a blonde, tall & longer haired drummer boy. LOL! They were chatting about him. One of them or all liked him. They would hoot and hollar at the end of the music as they looked at him. Then turn bright red and run out of the concert area. Meanwhile the drummer sees this and is acting like a hot shot. Grooving to the music. Swaying, head bobbing & such,LOL! It was hillarious to watch. Ahhhh young love, roflmao!

So my Son and I get in the car. And we chatted about the concert. And he asked do you think I broke up with ******* the right way? I said I wondered how you broke up with her? As she seemed really sad tonight?! I said have you talked to her? Yes he says. I said about what. He says Hi, How you doing & bye. I say WHAT?!! Thats it?! Yes he says. OMG I say...how did you break up with her?! He said by a recording. I say WHAT?! OMG you can't break up with someone on a recording!!!!! OMG no wonder why she seems sad!!!! He said I just didn't see her so her brother said I will record you and play it for her.
OMG I said well DO NOT EVER break up with someone that way again! I said you have to be honest with them. Explain why your breaking up. And that you still care for them just not that way. And that you want to be friends still. You have to talk to THEM! Not someone else talk to them for you! I said you wanna break up with someone you step up to the plate yourself MR.!! Also think of your feelings...how would you feel you would want to be broke up with?! You would want to not feel like an unimportant person that they can't even talk to, right..right he said.
Keep in mind he is only in the 7th grade and it isn't any love or anything, BUT being raised by a Mother he should be more sensitive to woman! That is how I raised him. So that when he gets older he treats his girl right! And other woman...you know like you see a woman walking into a building your going into..you hold the door for her. You see a woman struggling to carry all her things into the building...stop and ask if she needs assistance type of stuff. Help around the house & yard work. Help make dinner. Or do the dishes without being told....all kinds of that kind of stuff! Treat woman respectfully and like they are precious you know all that jazz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK now that all that is out,LOL! This week in a nut shell...............I have about 15 reports to court to finish up. Some for my hearings next week. SBR I want to make about 5 more LO's this week and submit them for different calls. And now that Angie Randall (or so I hope it really is her? Here is the link....http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/mb.asp?cmd=display&thread_id=1550696&pg=1) has made a public announcement about Paperkuts I can submit my LO's to other calls. I had submitted about 7 of them to PK and have waited for the last 2mo for calls to go out,LOL! Well guess what they are NOT coming!!!!!!!! So I will submit them else where :)

Also I have a crop on Saturday! So excited!! There should be alot of gals coming. We scrap from about 8-9 am to midnight or later. Throughout the day we scrap, chat, scrap, eat, scrap, go to LSS, eat, scrap. Then go out to dinner and scrap and chat some more,LOL! It is a blast!! I usually don't get alot done when I have the crops. I am to busy chatting and all. Or teaching tips/tricks. I am going to bring the pattern for the french fry box I think and do a mini class on that? I may also go to the crop at my church on friday night...if I can get all my shtuff together!

I was asked to teach some scrapbooking classes at the local Jr High next month. Super fun! I will have prolly 30-50 students per class. It would be just for one day. The school has an Activity Day. And I would have 2 classes during the day about an hour or so each class. I already have the ideas running through my head for class projects to do! I am so excited. It will be wonderful to have some of my students/clients see me in a differnt light. Not the authoritive person that I am. But a real live person who does other things besides track down truants. Someone who can have fun with them and HOPEFULLY give them something else to be interested in besides all the bad influences out there! I really look forward to it!
Well I shall end my book of the day and hope you all have a great day!!

I have something in the works that is BIG I hope to tell you all about it really soon! If things go well I can tell you all real soon! I am super excited!!!

THE END,LOL!!!

Merry Christmas!!
I wish that you all have a very Mery Christmas. Be safe if your traveling. Hug your family a little tighter. Tell them you love them one more time. Be thankful for what you have. Enjoy the holiday season!

I wish that I was feeling in the Christmas spirit?! It has been a horrid week-week and a half for me. I just don't "feel" merry. And part of me wishes Christmas was already over. Sad to say but its true.

Between the death of my Uncle, my job,95% of the time thoughtless and un caring hubby heaven forbid the world DOESN"T revolve around him, hmmm my job (again I know), the holiday season, wanting more for myself , my aching finger(s)...turn into just the ring finger now!, more & more so I'll stop!

Scrap-Therapy~
I got the new January kit from The Scrapbook Stand yesterday. I am thankful that when I am stressed I use scrappin as "scrap-therapy"! So I created one LO last night. The photo is my Father. And a bit of journaling from the heart and how I am feeling right now after the recent death of my Fathers brother, Mickey just 2 days ago. The journaling reads:

I found this photo of you I forgot I even had. As I look at it I am overcome with many emotions. I am fighting the tears and trying to swallow the frog in my throat. I see the age on your face. The wrinkles. The once graying hair now turning white. The strong & young man I remember as a child has now turned into an aging, much frailer and older man. A survivor of numerous diseases that still live in your body. Causing you to miss out on so much of life.
Just yesterday your brother Mickey passed away. His death was a reality that one day you to will pass away. As will everyone. But this is different. You are my Father. I do not ever want to lose You & Mother. You mean too much to me to ever be without you.
This is the peaceful you that I will remember. So if ever you leave us without warning. Just know this my dear Father. You are loved. You have blessed our lives beyond expectation. And you will never be forgotten.
Yes I know that the LO is {UNTITLED} I just lacked in that area last night,LOL!!

The papers are WeR Memory Keepers "comstock collection circus" Love the colors. I was hesitant about the "circus" theme...but let me tell you all that it really isn't a "circus" theme!!!! The tags can be used for more than circus related things....some of the tags read.."wild child", "The greatest memories on earth", "clowning around", "when I grow up", "lifes a circus", "ring leader...you get the idea. Not just for circus pages! Did I mention that I love the colors?! The "oh my" A&B&C chipboard letters are sooo adorable.

So I am also trying to make my final grocery list. So I can head to town to purchase my items before the stores all close. Ya you heard me correctly. I live in a small town where EVERYTHING closes for the holidays. LOL wasn't until maybe 5 years ago that a gas station would stay open...OMG we have like 11 of the stupid things and just one stays open, sheesh! The grocery stores we have 3 big ones and not one! Well maybe this year? We will see!

So is everyone going to just die waiting to hear about the Scrapbook Answers DT announcement?
OMG I am!!! That would be one thing I have dreamt of for awhile;) I am ready for it! If I got the SBA DT and never got another DT it would be soooo worth it! Well besides The Scrapbook Stand! Love it there! Thanks Shirley;) I would RAWK the magazine with the awesome Editorial staff! Ana girl who is da'bomb. Rachel who is slammin. OMG Leslie who is a rebel...hmm 2ps need I say anymore...girl you are a REBEL! OMG have you all seen the January issue of SBA? I love the "work in progress" section in every issue! I did have to giggle at this one though girls...Ana LOVE the facial expression,LOL. And Corinne, um, hmmmm, girl are you trying to make a statement to someone? Joking!!! LOL I looked twice and thought it looked like you were flipping us da birdie, hehehehe! Can't wait to see the CD and Barbaras debut;)

If you all haven't seen the mag yet you better run out and by one today! They sell like 25cent hot cakes here in my home town! LOL they fly off the shelf!! OMG this has got to be the best scrap magazine out there! Jam packed full of information, tips, tricks, ideas....so much! Oh did I mention how adorable the little girl is on the cover?! She is a doll Corrine!

Submitting to calls, mags, DT's....
Am I the only one who seems to forget pertinent information on the letters/ essays? Arghhhh! I hate that! I know I didn't get all I wanted to in the essay for SBA DT and the Prima DT. So I was SOOOO happy when I got the email stating that I was one out of the top 25 in the Prima DT call! WOWSERS one of the top 25 out of 850 entries!! Thanks Lara! I am amazed and shocked at how many submitted and that you made it through,LOL! Although I didn't make the actual DT of (i think) 12. I was in the top 25. Ummmm hello! The top 25!

Yeah you all want me now,LOL. Sorry trying to make myself laugh after the week I have had! No seriously. I am da'bomb! I am good! I can do it! Are you ready to sign me on yet? What are you waiting for?

OK. OK. My hand is absolutely killing me now!!
LOL I have been typing for OMG over an hour! Amazing how much a bum finger holds you back isn't it?! I look funny trying to type too!!! Use full right hand & pointer finger left hand.

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

OMG Did U all hear what happened 2 me?

OK so this wkd we celebrated Christmas with my DH family. We hosted. So everyone was here 4 "Christmas" dinner last night. We enjoyed a fab prime rib & tons of salads (my fav), veggies,OMG tons of desserts & snackies. We were all very full, lol.
So we were cleaning up dinner things. And were getting prepared 2 exchange gifts. Sounds like fun huh. Ya well this is where it starts 2 take a turn 4 the worst, lol!
I put some wine on the wine rack. Your thinking ya so what. Well.......On top of the wine rack sits a beatiful crystal vase. Let me tell you that the wine rack is about 6ft tall. LOL is your imagination soaring now? Well keep reading then....
As I placed the last bottle of wine on a rack. I turned to go to the formal dining room when all of a sudden I feel an enormous pain from my hand! Then a clunk! it all happened soooo fast.
I look 2 the floor & C my crystal vase we got as a wedding gift on the floor (unbroken due to something breaking the long fall from 6ft in the air)!
When I start to feel an extremely lrg pain coming from my hand. I look down @ my hand and C that 2 fingers are almost white? Odd I thought? Why do they hurt sooooooo bad? As I pull my hand closer 2 my face for a better look. I C the same 2 fingers begin to enlarge & turn purple.....the throbbing began with every heart beat, thump, thump, thump! R U feeling my pain yet?
It all happened so fast I still don't know if it was smashed between the middle shelf of the wine rack or did the vase fall on it mid air? Your guess is as good as mine?
Thank goodness my SIL looked at me. She was in another room and looked in at me when she could see the distraught look on my face. She knew instantly something was wrong. She came immediately.
She took charge of the situation and took care of me for the next hour or more!!! She is wonderful. Thanks Di!!! She was right there by my side.

SOOOOOooooooo! I didn't go 2 the ER bc I know they will do nothing 4 broken fingers. Yes we made sure the finger stayed straight n all that! Nut I know they just xray n tell u yes its broken n splint it. Last time I broke a finger DR says we do nothing her that u can't do at home,:0!
So I didn't go!
We had it bandaged n all....so thats just fine till i could get a splint. Of which btw the same doc says the splints don't really do much other than keep finger from being bumped often.
Today the pinky is much better. Not much internal bleeding on that one. But the ring finger.....well.....that one isn't as well! It is still bout 2x the size n extremely purple. N oh so painful!

Breakfast was to b here w me cooking,LOL. You guessed it.....we went out 2 eat, lol. Everyone came back here 2 our estate n visited. Then left this afternoon. So nice to have them all!!! I love them! Ya not the norm in laws, lol.
But here I sit can't do intense cleaning n picking up after guests. Let alone wash dishes, get my pants on very well, lol n put my hair up. All that jazz. I would normally b scrappin. But every time I put my hand down it throbssssss so bad! So I sit here typing 1 handed n think of scrappin, lol! This has got 2 b my hell!!!!!!!
If I can't scrap? OMG if I can't scrap........u may as well send me 2 hell!! I can't even scrap 4 the sake of scrappin. I know it will only b a few days buttttttt! OMG I can't do it! I won't survive w/o scrappin! It is my love,my passion, my life! Sometimes it is sooooo hard to tell people bout my feelings n things n scrappin is my way 2 express my thoughts, words n feelings with my creative nature. People understand me more. They get to know me soo much better. They see "pieces of me"!
few days no scrappin vs eternal life in hell. Which one is worse? LOL few days of no scrappin, duhhhhhhhhh! There is no hesitation on that 1.

ARGHHHHHH......n on top of that I have a couple calls I need 2 work on due soon. Well I don't have 2. But want 2!

So gals I am sorry I am absent from the boards, etc. But now u know why! So scrap an xtra LO 4 me ok? lol. I will scrap vicariously through you;),lol.

hope to cat w u all again soon! pray 4 a fast heeling. i am.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my dear net friends & fellow Pubsters **ANA CABRERA** Scrapbook Answers Magazine Associate Editor & **AMBER NICOLE** the greatest effer there ever will be!!!!

I hope that your birthdays were spectacular!!! Ana did you get your bubble bath & book ? Glad to hear that your day was so good;) Amber I would ask if you got your Digi Rebel but already know you got it before!

Happy Monday ya'll! I was kidnapped yesterday by my 3 sisters and Mother! We went Christmas shopping in Fargo,ND. What a blast!!! LOL poor Mis Maliss ( my sista Melissa we call Missy). We rode in one vehicle together while the other 3 were in another. Had to have two vehicles for lots of gifts, right! She is amazing to put up with me. I tell ya at one point I just about cried!!! OMG I had the worst day of all. Well clothes related that is.

I was wearing a beautiful brown and pink sweater. Has snowflakes, sequins and small flowers. Sounds ugly but it is SO cool! Well I had on a pair of matching pink slacks. And all the tidbits to go with it. So the first incident happened when we went to eat lunch. OMG I had a steak that I was trying to cut. When a chunk went flying off my plate onto my light pink slacks. Ahhhhhhhh!!!! OMG!!! How friggin embarassing! There was a huge table of hot young guys next to us. Needless to say I had several huge spots of grease on the front of my pink pants.

The second incident was at the gas station. I was trying to get our "empty" or so I thought cans of soda out of the vehicle to put in the trash. Well my one hand hit the stearing wheel. Knocking one of the cans out of my hand and onto my lap. I gasped. My sister said OMG!! I looked at her and said I want to just cry. We laughed! I then picked up the can and to my amazement it had not "yet" spilled on the pink pants. I said I cannot believe it didn't get on the pants. Boy what a jinx! The can was UPSIDE down!!! So as I continue to pick up off my lap. It spilled a partially filled can of soda.

Well to spill "just" on my pant legs wasn't enough. It had to spill in between my legs and onto the seat. Well damn those leather seats that let liquid just flow to the lowest point on the seat. Yep you guessed it I now had soda on my ARS!!!!!!!!! At that time yes I turned to my sista and said "I am having the worst luck today" and got a few tears!! The great sista she is said "well that just means we have to buy you a new pair of pants;)" And "Don't worry no one will even notice" ROFLMAO!!!! Ya right no one will notice.

Thank goodness I had one of my peacoats with me (matching of course). I put it on and went in to pay for my gas. And of course get some stinkin CHOCOLATE after the incident.

So I got a pair of jeans that looked cute with the sweater. I couldn't find anything to go perfectly with my sweater. So jeans it was. The girl was so nice. I asked if I could take the tags off and wear them out and pay for them that way. Due to my messy pants. LOL she looked shockingly at me and said "excuse me". I repeated. She said "uh, um, well......pause" I repeated my incidents and how bad my pink pants are underneath my peacoat and said I will show you if you want, but it is REALLY embarassing!!! She said "sure go right ahead" What a doll!!!

So we continue shopping. I go up to the checkout counter. And forgot to tell the lady the loose price tag was for the jeans I was wearing. She just about threw it away. OMG! And I said NO that tag is for the jeans I am wearing. LOL. She was a bait confused! And said so what am I to do with the tag? I said scan it so I may pay for it! She said do you know how many people would have just walked out without paying? I shockingly said do you think I was going to do that? Cause that is why the tag was on top of the pile...so I may pay for them.

She said no I am not saying you were going to do that. Its just a matter of fact that most wouldn't. I said WELL I am certainly not like MOST people!! So I paid for my stuff and my jeans. Walked out to the parking lot and couldn't find my keys...astro start...so we couldn't see where we parked. LOL OMG by this time I was SO ready to go home!!!

But my sista and I still had to find my niece "Madelyn" her Christmas outfit. (Helping her Mom out who is going through some difficult times with her DH, oh wait he isn't a dear so it would be hmmm, um well lets just call him her H much nicer than what I am thinkin;) ) So we search Baby Gap, Baby Gymboree, Herbergers, Marshall Fields, and nothing. Then we head to Old Navy a couple miles away. And we found the cutest little dress...red/black/white plaid to go with the 3 sisters outfits we bought earlier. She will look so adorable!!

Will save the story of my BIL in my next entry....lets just say that I HOPE he goes away for a long time!!!!

OH BTW how was your day? LOL!

Saturday, December 03, 2005

Its Saturday! Woohoo! I love the weekends.

Well I have cleaned the house. Chopped wood and stacked it. And well maybe ruining the log splitter? OOooops!

ROFLOL DH isn't home yet to see it. But I am sure you will hear him when he does! I guess it had a flat tire, insert rolling eyes here? No wonder why it didn't want to move very well!

My DS and I hauled it to the other end of our estate to split some wood. And well when DS said "uh, mom......is the tire supposed to be coming off that white thing? Cause the other side isn't."

Insert bug eyes here! And a shocked face! So I get out of the truck to see the wheel half off the splitter, ooops! I thought OH CRAP! Now what? How in the heck am I going to get that thing back to the other end of the estate without ruining the rim for good?

Hmmm well. Your going to laugh! I decided to use one of the kids sleds. LOL. I jimmied the thing up in the air with a long log. And had DS place the sled under the flat and half off tire. Hooked it back up to the hitch on the truck. And hauled it back to the main garage. So Dh can fix it when he gets back.

Absolutely hilarious...picture a old beater truck (yard work truck with a snow plow on the front) hauling a log splitter and a bright orange sled underneath a flat tire! Hey it worked. At least it does not appear that I ruined the rim?!

OK WAIT I just thought of something even funnier!!! Can you picture ME sitting behind the wheel of this beater truck hauling a log splitter that has a flat tire and using a bright orange sled for a wheel, ROFLMAO!!!!!!!! Man I should have had the camera out there!

Well now that all the excitement is done! I can sit back and relax with some scrapbooking;) Yeah! I would DIE without SB! Without ART! Without being able to CREATE! It would be like a famous singer who lost there voice forever. Or a famous painter who lost all limbs and couln't paint anymore. You get where I am going with this!

I have SO many dreams! SB related of course. I just hope that someone will take a leap of faith in me! Cause I am all they need;)

Well gotta go create some works of art!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well today was a snow day here!

Or should I say Ice Day?! OMG there is so much ice. And now its been snowing for numerous hours. Winter is here!!! Hate to see how the roads will be in the am?!
But for now I love that I was able to scrap with the new kit from thescrapbookstand.com I made 2 LO's this eve and working on the 3rd. Not feeling to motivated tonight. So I know I could have done more and much better.

In fact my mind is on DT submissions and page calls. I wish I knew what the different man/mag are looking for!

So I am also working on a number of submissions. But one thing that keeps popping into my head is....What is each entity searching for? Are they looking for a particular & very distinct style? A person who is fresh? Someone who doesn't scrap like any other they have seen?

Someone who can take a product and use it with a WAY different spin? Or somone who can mostly display the product and little cardstock (unless its bazzill-of which I would LOVE!!) so it "showcases" their product or someone to use "their" own style and then "they" know what type of style/work would be received.

So is there no hope for someone who is like a chameleon? Someone who can create all aspects of the rainbow if you will? You know someone who likes and creates all styles. Or would they actually be the best type of designer for them to have? Because they would be getting a variety of styles. Not just the same old thing EVERY single time!

People need change. And I don't think that they would want someone with a particular style! For that same reason I guess. If it were me chosing I think I would chose the one who can create all areas of the playing field!!

Or does it just take a mediocre desiger who has a WELL written letter? LOL cause I suck at that!! But I do have CONFIDENCE that I have what it takes to be {BIG} in the SB industry! And I will get bigger and bigger;) I have already grown from where I was a year ago. I will continue to push forward onto my dreams even if I don't make any. Cause someday someone will take a leap of faith and believe in me!!! And until that day comes I will create, create, create!

I will leave today with a quote from a famous artist-

The emotions are sometimes so strong that I work without knowing it. The strokes come like speech. Vincent Van Gogh

Well I dunno?!?!?!? Anyone out there know? Give me your ideas and thoughts! LMK what you think!

Hey everyone! OMG I am soooo terrible! I see I haven't updated my blog for close to a month.eeks! Sorry!

So much going on lately. Some I can talk about other stuff I cannot! We have been working lots on the house. Remodeling and fixing up things. Man very tiring stuff!

At a "work" party tonight me and some friends/co-workers decided to go shopping this Saturday. Woohoo!!! I love shopping as do 2 out of the other 3 gal pals going! Could be a very scarry situation, hehehe. Last time I went shopping with several other friends we spent over $1200 each on SB stuff alone....notice I didn't mention all the other things,:o Yeah it was a great day! Speaking of which I never did get pics uploaded showing the damage from that day,LOL.

Talk about a blast though! Also we are planning our Annual Fall Family Walk. Love this time of year.....we have 30+ family members that go on nature walk at my grandparents. My sister and I have gone since we were kids ourselves. It is a great tradition that we all thoroughly enjoy! My kids enjoy it so much. Usually have tons of pics from these days too! Man last year I think I had about 5-6 rolls and then with everyone else's...lol, total was prolly 20 rolls. Well digi's ya know! See what we do is share all the pics. Cannont wait for this day! Sounds like it will still be semi warm too!

All right all I am going to head out for now as it is almost 1am. And I am sooooo beat! Will post some pics of the weekend of shopping with girlfriends upon my arrival home! ps if I can find my power cord to my scanner/printer.

C U later! I will leave you with a parting LO...
