I wish that I was feeling in the Christmas spirit?! It has been a horrid week-week and a half for me. I just don't "feel" merry. And part of me wishes Christmas was already over. Sad to say but its true.

Between the death of my Uncle, my job,95% of the time thoughtless and un caring hubby heaven forbid the world DOESN"T revolve around him, hmmm my job (again I know), the holiday season, wanting more for myself , my aching finger(s)...turn into just the ring finger now!, more & more so I'll stop!

Scrap-Therapy~
I got the new January kit from The Scrapbook Stand yesterday. I am thankful that when I am stressed I use scrappin as "scrap-therapy"! So I created one LO last night. The photo is my Father. And a bit of journaling from the heart and how I am feeling right now after the recent death of my Fathers brother, Mickey just 2 days ago. The journaling reads:

I found this photo of you I forgot I even had. As I look at it I am overcome with many emotions. I am fighting the tears and trying to swallow the frog in my throat. I see the age on your face. The wrinkles. The once graying hair now turning white. The strong & young man I remember as a child has now turned into an aging, much frailer and older man. A survivor of numerous diseases that still live in your body. Causing you to miss out on so much of life.
Just yesterday your brother Mickey passed away. His death was a reality that one day you to will pass away. As will everyone. But this is different. You are my Father. I do not ever want to lose You & Mother. You mean too much to me to ever be without you.
This is the peaceful you that I will remember. So if ever you leave us without warning. Just know this my dear Father. You are loved. You have blessed our lives beyond expectation. And you will never be forgotten.
Yes I know that the LO is {UNTITLED} I just lacked in that area last night,LOL!!

The papers are WeR Memory Keepers "comstock collection circus" Love the colors. I was hesitant about the "circus" theme...but let me tell you all that it really isn't a "circus" theme!!!! The tags can be used for more than circus related things....some of the tags read.."wild child", "The greatest memories on earth", "clowning around", "when I grow up", "lifes a circus", "ring leader...you get the idea. Not just for circus pages! Did I mention that I love the colors?! The "oh my" A&B&C chipboard letters are sooo adorable.

So I am also trying to make my final grocery list. So I can head to town to purchase my items before the stores all close. Ya you heard me correctly. I live in a small town where EVERYTHING closes for the holidays. LOL wasn't until maybe 5 years ago that a gas station would stay open...OMG we have like 11 of the stupid things and just one stays open,sheesh! The grocery stores we have 3 big ones and not one! Well maybe this year? We will see!

So is everyone going to just die waiting to hear about the Scrapbook Answers DT announcement?
OMG I am!!! That would be one thing I have dreamt of for awhile;) I am ready for it! If I got the SBA DT and never got another DT it would be soooo worth it! Well besides The Scrapbook Stand! Love it there! Thanks Shirley;) I would RAWK the magazine with the awesome Editorial staff! Ana girl who is da'bomb. Rachel who is slammin. OMG Leslie who is a rebel...hmm 2ps need I say anymore...girl you are a REBEL! OMG have you all seen the January issue of SBA? I love the "work in progress" section in every issue! I did have to giggle at this one though girls...Ana LOVE the facial expression,LOL. And Corinne, um, hmmmm, girl are you trying to make a statement to someone? Joking!!! LOL I looked twice and thought it looked like you were flipping us da birdie,hehehehe! Can't wait to see the CD and Barbaras debut;)

If you all haven't seen the mag yet you better run out and by one today! They sell like 25cent hot cakes here in my home town! LOL they fly off the shelf!! OMG this has got to be the best scrap magazine out there! Jam packed full of information, tips, tricks, ideas....so much! Oh did I mention how adorable the little girl is on the cover?! She is a doll Corrine!

Am I the only one who seems to forget pertinent information on the letters/ essays? Arghhhh! I hate that! I know I didn't get all I wanted to in the essay for SBA DT and the Prima DT. So I was SOOOO happy when I got the email stating that I was one out of the top 25 in the Prima DT call! WOWSERS one of the top 25 out of 850 entries!! Thanks Lara! I am amazed and shocked at how many submitted and that you made it through,LOL! Although I didn't make the actual DT of (i think) 12. I was in the top 25. Ummmm hello! The top 25!

Yeah you all want me now,LOL. Sorry trying to make myself laugh after the week I have had! No seriously. I am da'bomb! I am good! I can do it! Are you ready to sign me on yet? What are you waiting for?

OMG Did U all hear what happened 2 me?

OK so this wkd we celebrated Christmas with my DH family. We hosted. So everyone was here 4 "Christmas" dinner last night. We enjoyed a fab prime rib & tons of salads (my fav), veggies,OMG tons of desserts & snackies. We were all very full,lol.
So we were cleaning up dinner things. And were getting prepared 2 exchange gifts. Sounds like fun huh. Ya well this is where it starts 2 take a turn 4 the worst,lol!
I put some wine on the wine rack. Your thinking ya so what. Well.......On top of the wine rack sits a beatiful crystal vase. Let me tell you that the wine rack is about 6ft tall. LOL is your imagination soaring now? Well keep reading then....
As I placed the last bottle of wine on a rack. I turned to go to the formal dining room when all of a sudden I feel an enormous pain from my hand! Then a clunk! it all happened soooo fast.
I look 2 the floor & C my crystal vase we got as a wedding gift on the floor (unbroken due to something breaking the long fall from 6ft in the air)!
When I start to feel an extremely lrg pain coming from my hand. I look down @ my hand and C that 2 fingers are almost white? Odd I thought? Why do they hurt sooooooo bad? As I pull my hand closer 2 my face for a better look. I C the same 2 fingers begin to enlarge & turn purple.....the throbbing began with every heart beat, thump, thump, thump! R U feeling my pain yet?
It all happened so fast I still don't know if it was smashed between the middle shelf of the wine rack or did the vase fall on it mid air? Your guess is as good as mine?
Thank goodness my SIL looked at me. She was in another room and looked in at me when she could see the distraught look on my face. She knew instantly something was wrong. She came immediately.
She took charge of the situation and took care of me for the next hour or more!!! She is wonderful. Thanks Di!!! She was right there by my side.

SOOOOOooooooo! I didn't go 2 the ER bc I know they will do nothing 4 broken fingers. Yes we made sure the finger stayed straight n all that! Nut I know they just xray n tell u yes its broken n splint it. Last time I broke a finger DR says we do nothing her that u can't do at home,:0!
So I didn't go!
We had it bandaged n all....so thats just fine till i could get a splint. Of which btw the same doc says the splints don't really do much other than keep finger from being bumped often.
Today the pinky is much better. Not much internal bleeding on that one. But the ring finger.....well.....that one isn't as well! It is still bout 2x the size n extremely purple. N oh so painful!

Breakfast was to b here w me cooking,LOL. You guessed it.....we went out 2 eat,lol. Everyone came back here 2 our estate n visited. Then left this afternoon. So nice to have them all!!! I love them! Ya not the norm in laws,lol.
But here I sit can't do intense cleaning n picking up after guests. Let alone wash dishes, get my pants on very well,lol n put my hair up. All that jazz. I would normally b scrappin. But every time I put my hand down it throbssssss so bad! So I sit here typing 1 handed n think of scrappin,lol! This has got 2 b my hell!!!!!!!
If I can't scrap? OMG if I can't scrap........u may as well send me 2 hell!! I can't even scrap 4 the sake of scrappin. I know it will only b a few days buttttttt! OMG I can't do it! I won't survive w/o scrappin! It is my love,my passion, my life! Sometimes it is sooooo hard to tell people bout my feelings n things n scrappin is my way 2 express my thoughts,words n feelings with my creative nature. People understand me more. They get to know me soo much better. They see "pieces of me"!
few days no scrappin vs eternal life in hell. Which one is worse? LOL few days of no scrappin,duhhhhhhhhh! There is no hesitation on that 1.

ARGHHHHHH......n on top of that I have a couple calls I need 2 work on due soon. Well I don't have 2. But want 2!

So gals I am sorry I am absent from the boards,etc. But now u know why! So scrap an xtra LO 4 me ok? lol. I will scrap vicariously through you;),lol.

Happy Monday ya'll! I was kidnapped yesterday by my 3 sisters and Mother! We went Christmas shopping in Fargo,ND. What a blast!!! LOL poor Mis Maliss ( my sista Melissa we call Missy). We rode in one vehicle together while the other 3 were in another. Had to have two vehicles for lots of gifts, right! She is amazing to put up with me. I tell ya at one point I just about cried!!! OMG I had the worst day of all. Well clothes related that is.

I was wearing a beautiful brown and pink sweater. Has snowflakes, sequins and small flowers. Sounds ugly but it is SO cool! Well I had on a pair of matching pink slacks. And all the tidbits to go with it. So the first incident happened when we went to eat lunch. OMG I had a steak that I was trying to cut. When a chunk went flying off my plate onto my light pink slacks. Ahhhhhhhh!!!! OMG!!! How friggin embarassing! There was a huge table of hot young guys next to us. Needless to say I had several huge spots of grease on the front of my pink pants.

The second incident was at the gas station. I was trying to get our "empty" or so I thought cans of soda out of the vehicle to put in the trash. Well my one hand hit the stearing wheel. Knocking one of the cans out of my hand and onto my lap. I gasped. My sister said OMG!! I looked at her and said I want to just cry. We laughed! I then picked up the can and to my amazement it had not "yet" spilled on the pink pants. I said I cannot believe it didn't get on the pants. Boy what a jinx! The can was UPSIDE down!!! So as I continue to pick up off my lap. It spilled a partially filled can of soda.

Well to spill "just" on my pant legs wasn't enough. It had to spill in between my legs and onto the seat. Well damn those leather seats that let liquid just flow to the lowest point on the seat. Yep you guessed it I now had soda on my ARS!!!!!!!!! At that time yes I turned to my sista and said "I am having the worst luck today" and got a few tears!! The great sista she is said "well that just means we have to buy you a new pair of pants;)" And "Don't worry no one will even notice" ROFLMAO!!!! Ya right no one will notice.

Thank goodness I had one of my peacoats with me (matching of course). I put it on and went in to pay for my gas. And of course get some stinkin CHOCOLATE after the incident.

So I got a pair of jeans that looked cute with the sweater. I couldn't find anything to go perfectly with my sweater. So jeans it was. The girl was so nice. I asked if I could take the tags off and wear them out and pay for them that way. Due to my messy pants. LOL she looked shockingly at me and said "excuse me". I repeated. She said "uh, um, well......pause" I repeated my incidents and how bad my pink pants are underneath my peacoat and said I will show you if you want, but it is REALLY embarassing!!! She said "sure go right ahead" What a doll!!!

So we continue shopping. I go up to the checkout counter. And forgot to tell the lady the loose price tag was for the jeans I was wearing. She just about threw it away. OMG! And I said NO that tag is for the jeans I am wearing. LOL. She was a bait confused! And said so what am I to do with the tag? I said scan it so I may pay for it! She said do you know how many people would have just walked out without paying? I shockingly said do you think I was going to do that? Cause that is why the tag was on top of the pile...so I may pay for them.

She said no I am not saying you were going to do that. Its just a matter of fact that most wouldn't. I said WELL I am certainly not like MOST people!! So I paid for my stuff and my jeans. Walked out to the parking lot and couldn't find my keys...astro start...so we couldn't see where we parked. LOL OMG by this time I was SO ready to go home!!!

But my sista and I still had to find my niece "Madelyn" her Christmas outfit. (Helping her Mom out who is going through some difficult times with her DH, oh wait he isn't a dear so it would be hmmm, um well lets just call him her H much nicer than what I am thinkin;) ) So we search Baby Gap, Baby Gymboree, Herbergers, Marshall Fields, and nothing. Then we head to Old Navy a couple miles away. And we found the cutest little dress...red/black/white plaid to go with the 3 sisters outfits we bought earlier. She will look so adorable!!

Will save the story of my BIL in my next entry....lets just say that I HOPE he goes away for a long time!!!!

Its Saturday! Woohoo! I love the weekends.

Well I have cleaned the house. Chopped wood and stacked it. And well maybe ruining the log splitter? OOooops!

ROFLOL DH isn't home yet to see it. But I am sure you will hear him when he does! I guess it had a flat tire, insert rolling eyes here? No wonder why it didn't want to move very well!

My DS and I hauled it to the other end of our estate to split some wood. And well when DS said "uh, mom......is the tire supposed to be coming off that white thing? Cause the other side isn't."

Insert bug eyes here! And a shocked face! So I get out of the truck to see the wheel half off the splitter,ooops! I thought OH CRAP! Now what? How in the heck am I going to get that thing back to the other end of the estate without ruining the rim for good?

Hmmm well. Your going to laugh! I decided to use one of the kids sleds. LOL. I jimmied the thing up in the air with a long log. And had DS place the sled under the flat and half off tire. Hooked it back up to the hitch on the truck. And hauled it back to the main garage. So Dh can fix it when he gets back.

Absolutely hilarious...picture a old beater truck (yard work truck with a snow plow on the front) hauling a log splitter and a bright orange sled underneath a flat tire! Hey it worked. At least it does not appear that I ruined the rim?!


OK WAIT I just thought of something even funnier!!! Can you picture ME sitting behind the wheel of this beater truck hauling a log splitter that has a flat tire and using a bright orange sled for a wheel, ROFLMAO!!!!!!!! Man I should have had the camera out there!

Well now that all the excitement is done! I can sit back and relax with some scrapbooking;) Yeah! I would DIE without SB! Without ART! Without being able to CREATE! It would be like a famous singer who lost there voice forever. Or a famous painter who lost all limbs and couln't paint anymore. You get where I am going with this!

I have SO many dreams! SB related of course. I just hope that someone will take a leap of faith in me! Cause I am all they need;)

Well gotta go create some works of art!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well today was a snow day here!

Or should I say Ice Day?! OMG there is so much ice. And now its been snowing for numerous hours. Winter is here!!! Hate to see how the roads will be in the am?!
But for now I love that I was able to scrap with the new kit from thescrapbookstand.com I made 2 LO's this eve and working on the 3rd. Not feeling to motivated tonight. So I know I could have done more and much better.

In fact my mind is on DT submissions and page calls. I wish I knew what the different man/mag are looking for!

So I am also working on a number of submissions. But one thing that keeps popping into my head is....What is each entity searching for? Are they looking for a particular & very distinct style? A person who is fresh? Someone who doesn't scrap like any other they have seen?

Someone who can take a product and use it with a WAY different spin? Or somone who can mostly display the product and little cardstock (unless its bazzill-of which I would LOVE!!) so it "showcases" their product or someone to use "their" own style and then "they" know what type of style/work would be received.

So is there no hope for someone who is like a chameleon? Someone who can create all aspects of the rainbow if you will? You know someone who likes and creates all styles. Or would they actually be the best type of designer for them to have? Because they would be getting a variety of styles. Not just the same old thing EVERY single time!

People need change. And I don't think that they would want someone with a particular style! For that same reason I guess. If it were me chosing I think I would chose the one who can create all areas of the playing field!!

Or does it just take a mediocre desiger who has a WELL written letter? LOL cause I suck at that!! But I do have CONFIDENCE that I have what it takes to be {BIG} in the SB industry! And I will get bigger and bigger;) I have already grown from where I was a year ago. I will continue to push forward onto my dreams even if I don't make any. Cause someday someone will take a leap of faith and believe in me!!! And until that day comes I will create, create, create!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Well this was a good day! I loved the fact that I didn't have to cook anything! My cousins family made the dinner this year. And they insisted that we bring NOTHING! LOL well of course non of us listen. So we ended up with and endless amount of food! Who doesn't right,LOL!

I am so thankful for so many things in my life. Sometimes you tend to forget how "good" you have it. Until you are reminded that others may have things worse off than you.

As I scroll through the blogs this am I was shocked by one! I couldn't believe that Jlyne has her blog up and working again!!!! OMG I was so excited. Girl I missed your blog. Always loved reading it. And who could go wrong with seeing some rockin LO's too!

But while I was on Jlyne's blog I saw pics of her home in Biloxi that was destroyed by Katrina!! And I was reminded of all her experiences over the last few months and I cried. And cried some more! Jylne I am so amazed by you! Your strength, love for your family, courage, talents, supportiveness towards others all are such GREAT inspiration for many others out there in the world! Thank you for being you girl!! So glad to hear that CBX has helped out to.

OOPs gotta go....I will write again tomorrow!!!!

Hey everyone! OMG I am soooo terrible! I see I haven't updated my blog for close to a month.eeks! Sorry!

So much going on lately. Some I can talk about other stuff I cannot! We have been working lots on the house. Remodeling and fixing up things. Man very tiring stuff!

At a "work" party tonight me and some friends/co-workers decided to go shopping this Saturday. Woohoo!!! I love shopping as do 2 out of the other 3 gal pals going! Could be a very scarry situation,hehehe. Last time I went shopping with several other friends we spent over $1200 each on SB stuff alone....notice I didn't mention all the other things,:o Yeah it was a great day! Speaking of which I never did get pics uploaded showing the damage from that day,LOL.

Talk about a blast though! Also we are planning our Annual Fall Family Walk. Love this time of year.....we have 30+ family members that go on nature walk at my grandparents. My sister and I have gone since we were kids ourselves. It is a great tradition that we all thoroughly enjoy! My kids enjoy it so much. Usually have tons of pics from these days too! Man last year I think I had about 5-6 rolls and then with everyone else's...lol, total was prolly 20 rolls. Well digi's ya know! See what we do is share all the pics. Cannont wait for this day! Sounds like it will still be semi warm too!

All right all I am going to head out for now as it is almost 1am. And I am sooooo beat! Will post some pics of the weekend of shopping with girlfriends upon my arrival home! ps if I can find my power cord to my scanner/printer.

Through the Eyes of a Rapist

Through a Rapist's Eyes (No Joke) This is important information for
females of ALL ages.
A group of rapists and date rapists in prison were interviewed onwhat they look for in a potential victim and here are some interesting
facts:

1) The first thing men look for in a potential victim is hairstyle. Theyare most likely to go after a woman with a ponytail, bun, braid or otherhairstyle that can easily be grabbed. They are also likely to go after awoman with long hair. Women with short hair are not common targets.

2) The second thing men look for is clothing. They will look for womenwho's clothing is easy to remove quickly. Many of them carry scissorsaround specifically to cut clothing.

3) They also look for women on their cell phone, searching throughtheir purse or doing other activities while walking because they are offguard and can be easily overpowered.

4) Men are most likely to attack & rape in the early morning, between5:00a.m. and 8:30a.m.

5) The number one place women are abducted from/attacked is grocerystore parking lots. Number two is office parking lots/garages. Number
three is public restrooms.

6) The thing about these men is that they are looking to grab a woman
and quickly move her to another location where they don't have to worryabout getting caught.

7) Only 2% said they carried weapons because rape carries a 3-5 yearsentence but rape with a weapon is 15-20 years.

8) If you put up any kind of a fight at all, they get discouragedbecause it only takes a minute or two for them to realize that going afteryou isn't worth it because it will be time-consuming.

9) These men said they would not pick on women who have umbrellas,or other similar objects that can be used from a distance, in their hands.Keys are not a deterrent because you have to get really close to the attacker to use them as a weapon.

You know the happy wife who has a job, 2.5 kids (or more), sports, after school programs, errands that no one else can do, cleaning the house, baking, making all the meals, did I mention cleaning?, yard work, being a good role model for all, mounds of dirty laundry, a mom who volunteers for more than she knows she can handle at the time but will do it anyhow no matter how far it sets back all the above mentioned things and oh ya did I mention the cleaning?!

Got Life - Effer Dare #2...Yeah I am a little behind. And Yeah I know this is last weeks challenge. But I have been really busy!! I made the circle paper I am unhappy with the result of it though. I think the words are too scrunched together making it difficult to read them...it says Life Preserver 1. a devices for saving a person...

I need to get going on the Effer Dare #3 now. If I could just find a CD I loved?!! Then I could! That is my challenge I guess.

Well I didn't make it to the PO in time for the MMM contest! I am bummed. Time just got away and had too many things to do, traveling,company, reunion, bridal shower, cranky baby that just demanded most of my time...and I am just AOK with not having any time for anything else because she is so worth it!

Did you ever think you could love someone so much? In the last 3 days I think I have gotten very little sleep due to baby being up so much. But I am ok with that because she is so worth anything and everything, life it self. I think I am to blame as well though. Here I am playing, cooing and cawing to her at 2 am. LOL I look at her and just tear up. It is so amazing that life is so beautiful, so amazing, so unspeakably grand with her in my life. You just can't help but think of how does God make something-someone so breath taking, preciouos and irresistable! Truly a gift from God she is, she is! (ducky-land before time she is, she is).

I created the LO above featuring my nephew Anthony with Creative Imagination products that are in the August Kit from The Scrapbook Stand.com What a great summery feel to the entire kit. Memory Makers Masters......

Due on the 15th. As well as many others due on the 15th. Ugh, does anyone else feel like there is way too many calls out right now? OMG Big calls, little calls, DT calls, oy! What is a girl to do? I have prioritized of course but am looking for better ways to organize my calls. Anyone have any ideas? What I do now is (if I remember) put all calls on a small calendar. But this lacks room to put all the little info that comes with some calls.

Basically what goes on the calendar is ex: CK-Teen Scene and no room for anything else like ex: looking for boy teen scene such as driving, girlfriends, etc.

What do you do? Do you have any ideas better than this...as I am open to new ideas!! Let me know.

I am Toooooting today!!

That's right I am tooting....I had a request from Scrapbook Answers. They want a "Girlfriends Rock" LO to be featured on a Scrapbook Answers CD coming out soon. That Rocks!! So exciting to get requests isn't it. I see that there are no other toots on 2ps from them. So I wonder if 1. I missed the others or 2. they haven't sent out the requests from the last call and I still have a chance to have more requested? 3. How many did I actually send? Hmmm don't recall?

OMG we got pulled over by a Water Cop,LOL!

OK so here is how the story goes.....
Yesterday morning my husband and I were in the pontoon setting up our slalom skiing course. Its all good right? Well this was about 6:30 am. And I notice that 3 people were on the dock at the end of our bay. No prob right?

So we get the course up and Jons buddy comes who is in town for the weekend. Who is an AWESOME slalomist!! So we were all having a blast! I think I got some COOl B&W photos? Will have to wait until I get developed 2 C them. Then Jons Mom comes. Still see no probs here right?! K

Well as I steer the mastercraft pullin my hubby behind into the next "set up" I see a boater coming around the other bay...I just had a gut feeling it was boat and water safety. And sure as shit it was! So he pulls us over. Now I will tell you that he had not even made into our bay yet at this point. We were in between the two. and you cannot see the other from where we were! Only one ball from the course.

He tells us that it has to come down without a permit. We tell him we have checked and double checked the statutes,etc. and we are in the legal right to have our course up without a permit. Boy did he get pissed then! LMAO!! Well we started stating the statutes and all (really made him mad) and said that we would take it down but....

why could we not have it up? He said do you think you are the only people who want to use the lake? I said but....We respect EVERYONE on this lake and the people who visit it(and don't pay taxes for it!!) we respect them 363 days out of the year by not having the course up. Why can they not RESPECT us 2 days out of the year?

I mean we don't call the sheriffs dept everytime they are fishing in front of our dock or we can't skii cause they are in the middle of the lake and the sides of the lake, making it unsafe for other neighbors to skii and tube as well!

We have had one guy out for us since we bought the place and it is really unfair! We pay for the use of the lake just like they do! And there is no law saying we can't skii,tube, jet ski, blah,blah,blah,bla,bla! My hubby was down right furious. LOL Mark and my MIL said we better send the diplomatic one to get this taken care of, meaning me!

So bottom line is that we did not get a ticket for anything. Why? Well because this man didn't know the complete statutes! Wow! Funny thing is. He went back to the office and searched them. He found lots yes. But!! We found the loop holes that he is too bull headed to see. He is older and set in his ways you know! A friend who is also a sherrifs deputy sat him down to explain that there is nothing they can do. And he didn't like that at all.

We are doing it all LEGALLY if we set up our course 150ft from shore and we put it in and take it out after sunrise and before sunset! We did that! We are not worried at all about getting a ticket. What we want is the people on the dock I wrote about to stop calling us in! This was only the second time it had been in the water this summer and they called the first time too! What a bunch of trouble makers!

Details for: The Scrapbook Stand Call for The Scrapbook Stand Design Editors & Guest Designers

We are currently seeking talented scrappers to join The Scrapbook Stand Team. We are looking for individuals who are currently on no more than one (1) other design team.

As a Design Editor for The Scrapbook Stand, your responsibilities include the following activities:

1. Complete three (3) projects for our kit gallery. DT projects may also be posted in other online galleries or be submitted for print publication as long as it is noted that projects were designed using the kit from The Scrapbook Stand.

2. Participate regularly in our online forum by starting threads and replying to posts – making an effort to keep the boards moving.

3. Post comments in the gallery to encourage the other members to share their work.

4. Promote The Scrapbook Stand to the best of your ability.

To be considered, please submit the requirements below by Midnight PST of August 28, 2005.

1. Five (5) examples of your best work, showcasing your abilities – please include scrapbook layouts and at least one (1) other paper craft project (i.e. altered art, mini books, etc).

All you effers can check out Sounds of Science blog from Kristi for the details. I am excited about this one. Sounds like alot of fun! The mind is running a hundred miles an hour thinking of what I can do!

My fellow Effers have already begun the challenge and the LO's look RAWKIN!! I hope I can get a LO done in less than an hour cause I need to get outside and paint the trim on the house,yuck! Dirty job but someone has to do it,LOL!

The Beach

I got Creative Scrapbooking Magazine in the mail today! "The Beach" layout (seen above) is on page 24,yahoooooo! Pic is me on the beach in Florida. I was so excited to get it this in the mail
I was to have 2 LO's in this one but the editor said if they didn't have room in Sept issue. It could go in another. Yeah! So we will see?

Many things going on....
1. There is sooooo many calls, deadlines and contests right now OMG I am bouncing all over the place! Don't know if I will finish in time for Memory Makers Master Contest on the 15th? I really want to. If there were only more hours in a day.
2. Basic Grey Be Bold contest. I have one done out of minimum 10. which is ok? Not due in for a while yet.
3. Work is going to start back up soon. Just a couple weeks before school starts. OMG school shopping,eeks!
4. Summer is wizzing past without time to savor the moments it seems like.
5. Reunions, friends & family...never enough time for them. And I hate that!

Did enjoy an evening at one of my girlfriends house last weekend though! So nice! Mary I love you girl. We are going to try and make it to We Fest on saturday night. Been a few years since I have gone so it should be fun!!

The "Effer Dare #1" was fun! I really enjoyed making the LO for it! I will post later. Hey all you little effers thanks for the challenge! It rawked!! Can't wait for the next.

Got some GREAT pics to scrap. But if I only had the time. Tried the Online OneHour Photo from Walmart earlier in the week. What a friggin pain! Unless you have ebahn and schtuff it takes forever. And did you know there is a time limit on uploading? Well I do now. So after trying for 3 days and many failed attempts I decided to send them in singly. And oh what a funny. The photo man who answered the phone said send in 3 sets of 11. (I had 33 pics that I tweeked and wanted to have double copies and all 33 on one CD) then we can put on a CD. HAH!! The most it would upload at once was 3. OMG I wanted to crawl through the phone at the man. Oh well I got about half done. Worry about it another time. I want to get a bunch done for the winter CHA in Las Vegas! That way I can hand them out to the important people.

Chatterbox is coming in the September Kit for thescrapbookstand.com and OMG I am so excited about that! I love CBX!! One of my all time favs. Can't wait to see what all comes in the kit from Shirley.

I just love 2ps! It is such a viable source of information!! You not only get to shop, have a minute by minute ever changing gallery to view. But you get to meet such great people! I am one that loves people and try not to pass up the chance to talk if I can. Sometimes too much, LOL.

I am so impressed with the talent that is there. Simply amazing! So inspiring. Who needs any magazines? Not I!! I know that there is alot of other peas who feel the same way.

I feel so blessed to be filled with such a passion to scrap. I could be addicted to drinking, drugs, or God knows what. But instead I fill my life with Scrapbooking. When I am having a bad day at work I scrap. That way my Family, Friend and Myself gain from my addiction and not suffer or lose anything because of it! And for those of you who know me and my job...Truancy Coordinator. You know how stressed and emotionally attached I get to the kids I work with. Kids who don't have parents who are there for them, who care for them or even care if they are dead or alive. Cheese and Rice what is wrong with this world?

It is so heart breaking to me to see that their are people out there that only have kids because they don't want to work...and want to live off of welfare. What the hell is wrong with that picture people...who made you better than I? Why should I have to work my ars off to pay taxes so you can spend your welfare check on drugs and booze? Why should people like me have to clean up after your lifes mistakes? I am sorry this is another story!!! I do want to clarify that I do have lots of families that I work with that DO NOT fit in these categories!! I love all the kids no matter what their situation is. I will be there for them, guide them and care for them! I am so happy to have been blessed with the talent to scrap and be a good Mom! I don't know what I would do if I were to ever lose a limb? I would just want to die. Have visions in my head and not be able to scrap them, OMG!!

Back to 2ps! SORRY!! The site is like my second skin,LOL. I pea in the morning. I pea in the afternoon. I pea in the evening. I pea at night when I should be sleeping, LOL!! I swear you need a 12 step recovery program for this site! It is so addicting.

I am so impressed with 2ps...Kristina and Jeffrey! They have made a gold mine out of dust. Then you have the Garden Girls. OMG! I (and so many others) so have this (not so secret dream after this blog) dream to be a Garden Girl. And am so bummed to have missed the boat yet again! But just think for a moment ladies...Could you imagine being a Garden Girl? I mean really! Look at Marie Cox...OMG she is so friggin good! And she is loving her life right now! She has it all...Beauty, kindness and the Artistic ability to impress so many people. She is SO worthy of this title!! Marie you know I love your work. I can't wait to see more of your work. You are such a sweetheart! There are so many GG that are inspiring I can't mention them all! Thanks ladies for all that you do.

I am on one DT at this moment. And it is wonderful! It is more than just a design team position to me! I have gotten to know the gals so well. It feels like we are a family. And that is so comforting! It is always great to work with people that you like and get along with. Because you love your job so much more. The happier you are the better quality work you put out! Kind of works in a few different ways doesn't it? Friends/family, work, so much more!

Blah, blah, blah...Boy I just keep on going and going don't I?!? Oh well its my blog and I'm sticking to it!

Big Sister

Cailey (big sister) holding Madelyn. I love this photo of them. Looks much better IRL! It was such a great shot too. Cailey didn't know I even took it. She was posiing earlier for a different shot and I snuck this one in. Its amazing how much love is there immediately when they are born isn't it! I should say before birth too!
Cailey is adjusting well to not being the "baby" any more. She is a very helpful and so I have been told an almost too helpful big sister, LOL. I had all 4 girls the other night and saw first hand what my sister said! OMG the 3 older sisters were by her side the ENTIRE time they were here.
They spent the night and I really enjoyed having a baby around again! Even if she was up every hour on the hour. I did get a little break...she slept for 2 hours one time. My sister was amazed because she says she has been going to bed around 9:30 and waking up at about 4:30-5:30 then back to sleep until 9. What a good baby she is. So quite and so petite. We all love her very much! LOL Can you tell?!

Hey do you know that you can get a divorce in Vegas for like $26. hmmmmm! I love Las Vegas...I can't wait for this Trade Show! I will definetly be making this one a few days longer than Chicago! Hmmm wonder who I should take with me?

Oh I bet Shirley will be going! She lives in California. Hey girl less cost for a plane ride. If any. Can't wait to meet you IRL! Thanks for keeping me on. For those of you who don't know Shirley she is the owner of TheScrapbookstand! I was just asked to stay on the DT. I originally signed the contract for 6mo. I am soooo grateful you kept me on girl! I just love ya. And the stuff, well you know how I feel about it!

Well what a odd day. But good. Family came to town for the day. And yes Baby Madelyn was here too! Yeah. I enjoyed visiting with all. Grandparents brought turkey and all the trimmings to my sistas house.

I of course being the lover of photography had to take a small shoot of Madelyn Jane...I hope they turn out ok? I did all with my Canon Rebel SLR. No digi yet with that one. Just the freebie HP. Will post some when I get film back.

Took the boys to the skate park and we met this really nice kid named Matt. The kids were so impressed with this guy because he had a "sponsor" they kept saying. LOL. It was so cute. Anyhow he is from Alberta, Canada I think he said. I took a few pics of him boarding. They looked cool so I hope they turn out ok too? He is here filming a movie for/with his team. Which when the boys heard that were like...way cool dude, ya like rawk on! Hehehehe! Very nice kid...gave something for the boys to idolize for a little while and maybe some motivation to really get out there and try. Matt and I told them that is the only way you can learn. He was sweet enough to give the kids some pointers on alot of stuff. Thanks Matt-You Rawk! Told him I would email him the pics. Told me he would reply with a totally rad pic of him doing some sort of trick (the boys would know the name, hehehe not me) and that it was one from the guy films and is the photographer for his team. And that if I wanted to use any of the pics for LO's and if they got requested for any calls that was OK! Thanks Matt! How sweet!

Chicago here we come...yeah baby!
I am so excited about CHA this weekend! I wasn't going to go. Then I was. Then, well lets say its just been a toss up. What finalized the decision was that a gal from 2ps had said she just signed a contract to write her own book. She credited it to going to winter CHA. She said she never would have gotten it if she had not gone.
Now I know not to expect a great thing like that but I can certainly try. Plus I am so excited about the PUBSTERS DINNER!! OMG it sounds like there is going to be about 100-110 pubsters. There is a number of gals that I would really like to meet IRL! They are such great supporters and inspirations to us all at 2ps. Thanks gals you rock.
Any tips ladies let me know I sure could use some! This will be my first CHA! Marie thanks for the help earlier...Hey all she is one of the new GG! She is so Worthy of this position!!!! Congrats girl! Ginger I hope to meet you as well! Can't wait to get there.

I was Out with the Girls...and some of the guys, lol. This is Martina (L) Me (M) and Sara(R) We had a blast! Drinking, dancing, singing and just what ever our hearts desired! I said "bleep" my clients if they judge me for having fun! Because this is the first time I had gone out in over a year! (in this county that is, lol) I am still a person. I am only human people! I too like to go have a good time with friends. I can't be perfect all the time. And I am of age I shouldn't have to feel guilty for going out on the town once in a while. I still do an excellent job and I am not the kids I work with that are not of age and need the guidance!

LOL! Don't know who the man in the middle is. But he talked Sara's ear off! Seemed like everytime we turned he was right there pestering her again. She says he was fine and wasn't bothering her. But I think she is alot like me... When someone is annoying the hell out of me I am polite and won't really tell them that. I'll just keep putting up with the BS! Well-sometimes, LOL! I was told I am a very confrontational person. I will stand up for my rights or what I feel is right and what I believe in! Most of the time. I can think of a number of things I am not right now. If you can't guess maybe you should read my blog(journal) more clearly! Hmmm was that a bit confrontational, LOL! Oh this is Sara and her husband...the guy in the middle? Minus the middle guy don't they make a great looking couple! Awww Sweeeet!

Back to work tomorrow! I am burnt out I guess! Just needed this weekend to last alot longer!

Well I had a good day yesterday. Always nice to get caught up with some things. Also did lots of thinking. Hmmmm good bad and the ugly, ha! Driving always helps. I love to get in the vehicle and just drive somewhere...anywhere. Lots of times I spend so much time thinking I don't even remember driving from point A to B. Scary sometimes, you know traffic and such. Hmmm.

I definetly got plenty of road time in. It was nice to just do what ever I wanted to do. Something I never do. But thats what single parenting does I guess, takes all your time.

TO DO LIST
1. Soak up some rays for a couple hours
2. Listen to some slammin music while I soak up some rays
3. Think-Search
4. Forget about all the negative energy surrounding me right now! Damn!
5. Scrap cause there is so stinkin many deadlines I need to get on and finish!
6. Find my mojo----LOL Mojito where are you? Oh thats right your on 2ps,hehe.
7. Call someone I haven't spoke to in a while and let them know how much I miss them. pathetic I have to put calling friends on a list isn't it? Anyone else do it? Or am I the only freak who will admit it? I guess life will slow down when I die!

Still have the song in my head...Damn I can't get rid of it. Jessica helped a little yesterday though. You know the song...Over and over again. I can't go on not loving you...I think about it over and over again...I can't shake it no I can't stop thinking it over and over again cause its all in my head...can't wait to see you again to see if you have the same look in your eyes when you look at me....ok maybe Jessica is going to take over now? Its all in my head....I think about it over and over again.

I read a friends blog and thought about all the things she is going through. I feel for you girl! Mostly because we share so many of the same feelings. Congrats on the new house and I hope you have better days! You will grow from this and learn soooo much about yourself! I know you are having a tough time understanding that right now, its still early. I am thankful for all that I learned when I left Jon before.
And honestly girl all that I have heard for the last year is "I want a D" There I said it, I finally said it to the world. And it frickin kills me to say it!!! well screw it. Divorce me Jon! Cause I don't need you to be happy. I swear I was happier without him!! And I hate myself for putting myself back in the same position I was in years ago. Sometimes I think what the frickin hell was I thinking when I married him. In my head I KNEW what would happen. But in my heart of hearts I wanted to believe that he truly did love me and we would live this wonderful fairytale. And I still hang on to the hope, is that pathetic? I have always loved him. And I will love him for eternity whether I am with or without him.
OMG I remember the day I married him. I was so confused but so in love with him again. We married April 3 of last year.
You see how it was (the confusion)is that I had left Jon and was happy living a life without him. Even after all the horrible things he put me through! I hated him for along time. But after all we had been through I still loved him and always will. But I realized I need to move on with my life. I hadn't dated anyone for a year...to prove to Jon that I didn't need anyone to be happy. And I was so happy. I began spending time with someone special for a few months. I just felt that things were not what I had wanted. Didn't get the feeling that it would be "forever" you know? I wanted someone to LOVE me and say they did. Someone who could make a commitment and be in for the long haul. Don't think that was what the person was searching for. And I couldn't expect him to. Single hot male vs Single hot female mother of 2....hmmm doesn't take a brain scientist to figure that one out. I couldn't pressure anyone to do that if they didn't want it! He deserved more for his life than me. I realized I should move on. After that I had a couple months of alone time to do some thinking again. Soul searching, you know. (I also have to thank my Sorority Sista's for being there for me!!-miss ya'll and can't wait till September when we meet again!)Anyhow...
Then Jon showed up unexpectedly on my doorstep a few days before we married and said he realized what he needed to do, what he was missing, how much he loved us and wanted to be with us and be a family again. He said it would work this time...he promised that and many other things...hmmm to bad he hasn't followed through with the promises. He had said things many times before and I was strong and happy without him. I could say NO. but I believed him again. I said I wouldn't do anything unless he really changed his ways. He did change many things...and proved them...it wasn't alot just things that should have been done before. I didn't ask for much. My biggest issue before was that he refused to marry me before we split up. I always thought that he was waiting for someone better to come along-like effing "J" fucking please I don't know what he sees in her...she is the town effing slut! Oh and lets not forget an alcoholic too! Chees and Rice there is more to life than that!!! But you can have her Jon and trust me you'll be sorry,ROFLOL But whatever! Bottom line is that I jumped into things and maybe I shouldn't have? But I thought can I really "jump" into things with him if I had spent 12 years of my life with him. You know its not like it was I met someone and married him 4 days later. I felt it was ok.
I cried as we said our vows. I cried because I loved him SO FRICKEN much and I cried for the doubt I had. Bitter Sweet! I almost didn't do it. We were so in love for months. Then he started "slipping". The words I love you stopped coming, the sweet little gifts, the kind words, emotions and affection, everything. I began to wonder what had I done this time? Now I am lucky to get any comments that are not projected towards a fight or hurtful things.
He can be so cruel to the Kids and I. It seems like he spends his life hating us. He spends all his time thinking about how can he make more money, how can he be more productive at work, how to build a stronger/better business, building better friendships with OTHERS, hmmm there is alot of ? there, HA you ars. Well is the friggin shit going to be there when he dies. GOD he doesn't realize what he has. We are worthy. We are important. We are loving and caring. We are HIS FAMILY! I wish he could see that life isn't all about money and being better than everyone else. Because what does he think we will say when he dies? Gee I wish he would have worked more. Or man I wish he would have yelled more or told me I was fat more. All the things he does and says. Its all in my head and I think about it over and over again. I can't shake it. All this pain that you put me through. And I honestly believe it is my fault too. I shouldn't let him get to me this way.
Most of the time I brush it off and don't let him bring me down. But how many times can you turn the other cheek before you say enough is ENOUGH!!! Its all in my head and I keep thinking about it over and over again, I replay it over and over again.

I don't even know who he is anymore. I wonder if I ever knew him at all? 12 years with someone and you think you would. But I have no idea. I know he is a very selfish and conceited person. Everything is all about "him". Can he not see that we are here? That we need him. We crave love. We need affection.
I don't know what else to do. I can't go on not loving you this way. I don't want to give up. But I wonder why bother? Nothing is ever reciprocated.
OMG this kills. My friends and family know how loving I am and how caring, giving. How much I would help even strangers just for the sake of helping them and making them happy. What is wrong with that. Isn't that what emotions/feelings are for. Doesnt' that make us better people. Sometimes I wonder.

Makes you wonder about your past relationships, you know. You wonder "what if" Granted there are some that YOU KNOW you are glad to be away from! LOL But there are always the few selected ones that you wonder what if.....hmmmmmmmm. A relationship without hate, battle, jealousy. Wow and to feel blessed, respected, trusted, LOVED!
I am sick of having to take the few and far between moments that he is wonderful and having to spread them out for weeks/months until he feels like having a moment again. Life is not worth that! Is it so much too ask that when someone does something for you its only natural to reciprocate?
Cheese and Rice! I can't tell you how many times I pull him slalom skiing and at all hours of the day. From 6am to dark. And do I bitch about having to do it again and again? no! I just go to the boat and drive only to be yelled at time and time again for stupid shit like..."get closer", "why didn't you go there" gee I don't know maybe because there was a EFFING BOAT IN THE WAY! & TUBERS ON THE OTHER SIDE!, "would you put in nuetral"-when it already is! Or when he screams at the kids while they are trying to skii. It is their first year getting up for more than 5 seconds. And he constantly yells at them about how they are not perfect. CHILL you are their Father. It is your job to guide them, to teach them, love them.
It really pisses me off to have male friends in the past that have treated them better than he does sometimes. I can't change the past. I can't help that you hate your life (thats honestly what I think is the problem), your are not happy with you as a person. Only YOU can make it better and if that means leaving me then do it, please! If that is what makes you HAPPY I am happy! Ha! That is what Love does Jon! When you love someone you care enough about them to let them go if needed. And I can be happy with myself knowing that I am not a burden to you.
Sorry all. I am in such a funk again! I just am not a happy camper! Well I have a weekend alone and will give me time to sole search and really think about my life. My journal/blog is getting more in depth as time goes on. But honestly it will give my friend and family a better idea of My Life...by Me! All the things that I normally keep secretly to myself. Especially things like above. Out of fear of people judging me. Well Fuck it!! If they don't like it or me anymore....SEE YA SUCKERS-YOU GOT DA BOOT!

OMG I am tired and I am sure that all the things I am typing are goofy? It is hard to proof,etc with blogger. So sorry! RO has got to go OUT and go to bed! Time to shut the net down, tune phones out, tv out, people out for the night and dream of happy things!

I am happy to tell you that I am a Aunt again! I could only dream of being a MOM AGAIN! My Sister is sooooo lucky! Here is a LO of Madelyn Jane and I.

I love that photo of the "boys". Andrew is so photogenic, ROFLOL even from the backside. I have some new photos of him too...With all the praise you ladies leave me I know you like to see him.

I am so excited to be an Aunt again. I think I may have some jealousy issues with her bigger sister to deal with in the future! Cailey and I are pretty tight. She may have a tough time coping with a baby sister taking some attention away from her? Hard to tell yet. Big sisters are on vacation and will meet her on Saturday. They will be so happy.

I missed the delivery due to frickin work....had to work late and got off about the time she was born...sorry Momma, I tried! I am so glad that Boogie-Teri was there for you though.

Happy 4th of July!!!

Yippeeeee! It has been a great weekend so far! Beautiful weather. Great company. What more could a person ask for? We live at the lake so we thoroughly enjoy it when we have great weather!

We have been skiing, tubing, jet skiing, boating, party barging, floating on rafts and enjoying lots of relaxing moments laying in the sun! Enjoying the great company of Family and Friends.

I hope to get some great photos of Jon my hubby slalom skiing and Mark one of our neighbors who barefoot skis and his wife Bobbi Jo who also slalom skis.

And I just get to be the boat driver since my accident 3yrs ago August. Which I still have many difficulties with my knee. I soooo miss skiing & such!! For those of you who don't know...I had been moving a loaded 2 place jet ski trailer slipped on the wet cement floor in the shop. I slipped and fell onto the floor side ways. As I fell the trailer was thrown up. So when it came back down to the ground it dropped from 6ft in the air with force onto my knee. (Keep in mind that it was the little "V" section of the trailer that landed onto my knee-you know the "V"close to where it hooks onto the ball attached to the vehicle.)The Dr.s couldn't do surgery. They said you can't repair ground hamburger...try to imagine sewing ground up hamburger together to make it a slice of meat again. Doesn't work!!! So I get to be a constant boat driver. Yippeeee-NOT!!! It sucks to be the one who NEVER gets to enjoy a ride or two!

Was at the neighbors cabin last night till like midnight. They & a couple friends were making the coolest friggin things I have seen! They took many different sizes of rhubarb leaves, vinyl cement,sand mounds and tubing to create these one of a kind moldings of the leaves. They are going to use them for numerous things like...bird baths, fountains, water features, ashtrays, garden stones, etc. What ever their little hearts desire. They had a few already done. Painted and on copper poles posted into one of their flower gardens...it looked so friggin awesome! Reminded me of Anne Geddes photos of babies and flower pots, cabbage leaves, flowers,etc. You would have to see it to understand how cool. Maybe she will let me take a pic and show you? We'll see!

Working on a couple of scrappin things. Trying to find the motivation to do a couple of page calls. As well as trying to find some inspiration to work with the Trendsetter project #4. It is really neat stuff but nothing I have ever worked with before. I have made a couple of sample things for the Dow Company but have not posted them because they are not to my liking.

Well I need to get busy and I hope you all have an enjoyable 4th of July...stay safe! Neighbor saw someone at 10:30am 4-3-05 getting a field sobriety test. Can you believe that? Be careful all!!
