The 6th graders were oh so cute. They all try very hard. I had to giggle every now and then as you would hear a toot or tweek here and there.
And it was nice to see how my Son has progressed from a year ago. It was also interesting to see how the amount of kids fluctuates with age. The 6th graders had about 50 kids. The 7th was about 30. And the 8th prolly 25. About half of the 6th graders. Imagine how many parents out there are upset because their lil susie beesy quit band and they had to pay out $1500.00 for an instrument!
I really had to laugh when I saw 3 young girls standing off to the side seating area. They are whispering and giggling. I look at the band and see a blonde, tall & longer haired drummer boy. LOL! They were chatting about him. One of them or all liked him. They would hoot and hollar at the end of the music as they looked at him. Then turn bright red and run out of the concert area. Meanwhile the drummer sees this and is acting like a hot shot. Grooving to the music. Swaying, head bobbing & such,LOL! It was hillarious to watch. Ahhhh young love, roflmao!
So my Son and I get in the car. And we chatted about the concert. And he asked do you think I broke up with ******* the right way? I said I wondered how you broke up with her? As she seemed really sad tonight?! I said have you talked to her? Yes he says. I said about what. He says Hi, How you doing & bye. I say WHAT?!! Thats it?! Yes he says. OMG I say...how did you break up with her?! He said by a recording. I say WHAT?! OMG you can't break up with someone on a recording!!!!! OMG no wonder why she seems sad!!!! He said I just didn't see her so her brother said I will record you and play it for her.
OMG I said well DO NOT EVER break up with someone that way again! I said you have to be honest with them. Explain why your breaking up. And that you still care for them just not that way. And that you want to be friends still. You have to talk to THEM! Not someone else talk to them for you! I said you wanna break up with someone you step up to the plate yourself MR.!! Also think of your feelings...how would you feel you would want to be broke up with?! You would want to not feel like an unimportant person that they can't even talk to, right..right he said.
Keep in mind he is only in the 7th grade and it isn't any love or anything, BUT being raised by a Mother he should be more sensitive to woman! That is how I raised him. So that when he gets older he treats his girl right! And other woman...you know like you see a woman walking into a building your going into..you hold the door for her. You see a woman struggling to carry all her things into the building...stop and ask if she needs assistance type of stuff. Help around the house & yard work. Help make dinner. Or do the dishes without being told....all kinds of that kind of stuff! Treat woman respectfully and like they are precious you know all that jazz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK now that all that is out,LOL! This week in a nut shell...............I have about 15 reports to court to finish up. Some for my hearings next week. SBR I want to make about 5 more LO's this week and submit them for different calls. And now that Angie Randall (or so I hope it really is her? Here is the link....http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/mb.asp?cmd=display&thread_id=1550696&pg=1) has made a public announcement about Paperkuts I can submit my LO's to other calls. I had submitted about 7 of them to PK and have waited for the last 2mo for calls to go out,LOL! Well guess what they are NOT coming!!!!!!!! So I will submit them else where :)
Also I have a crop on Saturday! So excited!! There should be alot of gals coming. We scrap from about 8-9 am to midnight or later. Throughout the day we scrap, chat, scrap, eat, scrap, go to LSS, eat, scrap. Then go out to dinner and scrap and chat some more,LOL! It is a blast!! I usually don't get alot done when I have the crops. I am to busy chatting and all. Or teaching tips/tricks. I am going to bring the pattern for the french fry box I think and do a mini class on that? I may also go to the crop at my church on friday night...if I can get all my shtuff together!
I was asked to teach some scrapbooking classes at the local Jr High next month. Super fun! I will have prolly 30-50 students per class. It would be just for one day. The school has an Activity Day. And I would have 2 classes during the day about an hour or so each class. I already have the ideas running through my head for class projects to do! I am so excited. It will be wonderful to have some of my students/clients see me in a differnt light. Not the authoritive person that I am. But a real live person who does other things besides track down truants. Someone who can have fun with them and HOPEFULLY give them something else to be interested in besides all the bad influences out there! I really look forward to it!
Well I shall end my book of the day and hope you all have a great day!!
I have something in the works that is BIG I hope to tell you all about it really soon! If things go well I can tell you all real soon! I am super excited!!!
THE END,LOL!!!
